Near Groton House Farm, there are plenty of places that you and your four-legged friends can explore together. Groton House Farm is part of the Essex Country Trail Association network of trails, and is very close to Bradley Palmer State Park, Appleton and Willowdale State Forest - all of which offer trail access for horses. In the off season (October to March), Crane's Beach in Ipswich opens its sandy beaches to horses. This is an excellent place to enjoy the surf, take a few water jumps, or gallop on nature's lightly-packed sand galloping path. Go during low tide for the best footing and tidal pool fun.
